flat as my missus' attempts to cook a decent roast. oil price goes boom and we do nothing? classic nz market.
can we talk about how oil companies are still raking it in while we struggle to fill our tanks?? market my a$$
yeah nah the whole thing's a joke. oil goes up and our shares don't even blink? it's rigged i swear.
brent crude up 5% and we drop 0.17%? lmao that's so nz. must be cos our whole economy runs on petrol and we're too scared to move.
Working late on site and saw this. Oil prices don't mean squat when half our companies are dairy and tourism. Get with the times.
idiot keep your day job, oil still affects everything we buy. bet you voted for this government too.

literally nobody cares about the sharemarket when rents are this high. maybe if they invested in housing instead of stocks we'd see some movement
facts. also housing is a ponzi scheme so maybe shares are the new housing? either way my portfolio says fml
I don't get it. Oil goes up means transport costs go up, so shouldn't shares go down? Or is that too logical for the boomers running this show
everyone in my finance lecture is losing their minds over this crash but tbh the market is so detached from real life it's boring. go outside
mate you're at uni don't talk to me about real life haha wait till you actually earn a real paycheck
Sharemarket flatlined while oil rockets? Might as well put my savings under the mattress. At least that's not losing 0.17% every day.
under the mattress is worth less every year cos of inflation. but yeah the nzx is a joke too
