Yeah nah, 140k neckbands sounds like a lot but farmers round here still swear by tape and posts. No battery to go flat.
a few people using them, seems to work. But I'd still never trust it completely over electric tape.
Honestly think this is great. Old mate down the road has been using them for a year and reckons it saves hours of fence checking.
tbh that's bloody impressive for a NZ company. More of this, less of the govt wasting money on consultants.
wonder how the sheep feel about it 😂
What happens when the cloud goes down though? That's worrying for critical agri infrastructure…

but if the data goes to a server farm somewhere overseas and fails, whole farm could be in trouble. Just saying.
plenty of backup options, mate. It's not like they stop working if the internet cuts out, they store offline.
farken hope they're tough enough for a wet Waikato winter. Plastic crap often shits itself after a season.
seen them work fine in rain. Just gotta keep the charging station clean.
Whatever saves the cows from escaping onto the road again is a win in my book. 🤞
replacing a stockman with a app on ya phone… no wonder rural mental health is struggling
ffs it's not replacing anyone, just making the job easier. Still gotta check em yourself.
