Cyber security and comms backups... right, cause that's all you need when the next cyclone hits and there's no power for a week. Get real.
yeah but it's a start I guess? better than that flood prep we got from council which was literally just 'have a plan'
at least they're doing something instead of just sitting on their hands like the council
learning 'practical tools' from a workshop? yeah nah I bet they all just sat there eating biscuits and nodding off
at least the biscuits were probably nice? 😂
We did this at our local RSA last month. Actual good tips on offline data storage. Not bad for a lunch break learn.

bloody hell finally something useful. Last time the lines went down we had to do everything with paper. So dumb.
yeah nah you're right. But at least someone's trying. Council sure as hell ain't.
Wait comms backups? Like... a battery radio? Or do they mean something fancy?
i think they meant proper satellite comms and that. something you can actually use when everything's fried
ffs these workshops never address the real issue - power outages. All the cloud backups in the world won't help when you can't charge your laptop.
lol wat. generators exist. they're cheap. but nah let's just talk about cyber security instead
told you it's pointless. But hey, they probably paid some consultant thousands to say 'have you tried turning it off and on again'
pretty much. bet they got a grant for it too while local shops can't afford the basics
