ffs Transpower, unbolting three of four legs at once? That's not engineering, that's a comedy sketch. Who hired these clowns?
100%. I've seen it happen. Safety takes a backseat to profits every time.
I work in the industry. This is exactly what happens when you let the cheapest contractor do critical work. No oversight, no common sense.
Class action? Finally. My small business lost thousands during that outage. Can't believe it's taken two years to get this far.
same here, my mum's on oxygen. Scary times. We need accountability.
as a student I'm just glad the uni had generators but man, that must have been rough for everyone relying on power for medical stuff

lol mate they'll probably get a bonus for 'restoring power quickly'
bloody oath, the system's rigged for the suits
Yeah nah get stuffed Transpower. Pay up. This is basic negligence, pure and simple.
honestly it's a joke, they should be fined into oblivion
Poor community, hope the class action gets somewhere. So many people were affected including my elderly neighbour who uses a breathing machine.
And they'll probably get a slap on the wrist while shareholders get bonuses. Classic.
Saw the photos of the collapsed pylon. How do you even unbolt three legs and not think 'hmm maybe that'll fall over'? Brain dead.
