Ah yes, the 'Great Moderation' – when politicians convinced us everything was fine while the whole system was propped up by cheap oil and hubris.
As if students can even afford to care about global tensions when rent eats half my living allowance ffs
rent and fuel both feeding the same monster. It's all connected.
Yeah nah, I work at the port and we've seen shipping costs triple. This ain't just headlines mate, this hits the wallet.
Meanwhile my boss is blaming 'global headwinds' for why our pay rise got 'delayed'. Convenient that isn't it.
Facts. My part-time hours got cut this week and they literally said 'global conditions'. Dismissed my review with that one word.

Nah I'm with you. Fuel price goes up, every bloody thing follows. Seen it a dozen times.

memories round here – Bagrie also said inflation was 'transitory' in 2021. None of them know what's coming.
Everyone worried about petrol prices but my local vege shop prices haven't moved. Buy local, stop panicking.
story, but most of us can't just 'buy local' when local fuel prices are global. Tone deaf take sorry.
