Another report, another round of hand-wringing. Absolute circus.
nah get stuffed. Words are cheap.
i work in the sector and this is what we've been saying for years. funding is a joke, staff are burnt out, and nothing changes 🫠
Preach. It's systemic at this point.
Pretty suss that the government can find millions for cycle lanes but not for keeping kids safe. Honestly.
hard agree. talk is cheap when kids are still being hurt.

yeah nah but what do they expect when they keep cutting the budgets to the agencies that actually do the work?
Lack of progress on abuse prevention akin to a crime? Try being a victim of abuse and see how fast the system fails you.
ffs another inquiry. how many more meetings and reports before someone actually does something?
cope more. the stats don't lie.
I notice the minister didn't show up to the rally. Probably too busy counting her paycheck.
give me a break. It IS a crime when you know about it and do nothing. Read the UN report, mate.
I don't know, I feel like we can't just blame the government. Everyone has a part to play - community, families, we all need to step up.
said exactly this to my mate at the pub. just more hot air. they don't care cos it doesn't affect their mates' kids.
but the government has the resources and the mandate. they can't just say 'everyone pitch in' like it's a sausage sizzle
lol 'akin to a crime'? no, actually committing the crime is akin to a crime. this is just more incompetent governance.
this guy gets it. it's all theatre.
