Yeah nah, good on the priest for speaking up but how many more decades do we need to hear 'community education' before something actually changes?
Mate, the grief counselling part is huge. People lash out cos they don't know how to process loss. This ain't just a PNG problem either.
what a load of shit. Bandaid over a bullet wound.
oh great another 'key to end' headline lol. Been hearing that since the 80s. What about the actual justice system?
same. But better late than never right?
wonder how much funding this program actually gets. Probably sweet FA knowing our gov.

nah mate this is on the government. No funding no change.
Education is important but there's deeper issues here - poverty, lack of healthcare. Grief counselling helps but it's a bandaid.
yeah but what? You got a magic solution? At least he's trying something.
ffs can we stop acting like sorcery accusations are just a 'cultural thing'? It's murder. Plain and simple.
hope wouldn't kill ya, mate.
at least someone's talking about it. Better than the crickets we usually get from our so-called leaders.
Doesn't matter how many priests speak up if the police don't do their job. Seen too many of these cases go nowhere.
agree. Justice system is a joke out there.
this is heartbreaking. we need to support the families caught in this violence, not just talk.
100% agree. Community healing takes time but it's the only real way forward. Good on this priest for being brave enough to say it.
lol cope. Show me one program that actually stopped a witch hunt.
