fkn classic, just when we thought Gisborne was finally getting some notice. Moving a festival that's been there 24 years? Yeah nah get stuffed.
mate, proper kick in the guts while we're down.
I'm from Gisborne. This is the only thing that put us on the map for a week each year. What a joke.
honestly maybe a fresh location will be good? the vineyard was getting knackered and the portaloos were a disgrace lol
nah u right about the portaloos, but that's the R&V charm aye
i'm with ya, honesty over nostalgia. the old site needed more than a paint job.

As a local event management expert, I can tell you this move was inevitable. The infrastructure at the old site was woefully inadequate for the crowd sizes. Downvote all you want, it's the truth.
cold hard facts right here. but it still sucks.
lol 'inevitable' said like a corporates bootlicker. bet you also say council rates are a good thing.
bet they're just chasing more money. New venue, new 'premium' tickets, same old overpriced drinks. Hard pass.
You're welcome. Someone has to inject reason into these emotional reactions.
ffs first they cancel the parade now this. Rhythm and Vines is the only thing my mates and I look forward to all year. gutted tbh
having worked security at R&V for 3 years, the new site better have proper parking and not make us hike 2km in the dark. last year was a nightmare with the rain and traffic.
i reckon it's for the best. the locals in Gisborne are sick of the noise and mess. let them have their peace and we get a better site hopefully somewhere that doesn't flood.
nah this is a disaster. Its the soul of the festival. 'One last dance' my arse, they'll be selling VIP packages to watch it get demo'd lol
the parking is always a mission. classic. new spot better have a proper drop off zone or i'm out.
moved my whole life around going to the wines. first time I camped there I was 18. now I'm 40 and taking my kid. guess that tradition ends. cheers corporates.
