220 million on locums?? nah that's cooked, maybe if they actually paid the nurses and docs properly we wouldn't be short staffed in the first place
lol classic, more money wasted while patients wait hours in ED. great job Health NZ 👏
as someone who works in the system, the issue is retention. locums get paid double what permanent staff do, why would anyone stay?
spot on mate, retention's the killer. pay the permies more and stop treating them like crap
hold up, 220 million is actually less than last year? reading is hard apparently
😂🤡 cope harder, still wasted money

nah it's still way too high, we're bleeding cash for Band-Aid fixes
lol imagine defending this. read the room
my mate's a locum, he's making bank. but honestly can't blame him when the system's so broken. fix the root cause ffs
tbh the locums are just taking advantage of a shit system, can't hate the players
$220m on temps but can't afford to staff a ward properly. absolute joke.
yeah right let's just privatise the lot, do it properly
meanwhile the CEO's on 2 mil a year 😂 priorities yeah
facts, they need a full restructure not more locums
