So they cut the lunches because kids don't eat the crap they're serving? And then say 'oh but they need them'? Make it make sense. 🙄
nah get stuffed with that logic. Feed the kids properly.
Classic. Spend all that money on a fancy campus but can't even get the food right. My kid's school feeds them actual food, not processed rubbish.
I go to Haeata. The food is legit terrible. Like cold, weird texture. Half the kids just bin it. No wonder they 'opted out'.

what a load of shit. they cut the funding cos fewer kids 'signed up' but the reason they didn't sign up is cos the food is garbage. absolute joke.

many ways to fix this but nah let's just cut and run. Classic NZ education 'strategy'.
I don't get why they can't just ask the kids what they want. Simple menu options. It's not rocket science.
As someone working in food service, I can tell you exactly what's happening. Budget was too tight, quality dropped, kids stopped eating, funding cut. Vicious cycle.
It's always about the bottom line with these people. Kids' nutrition comes last.
Bet the principals still get their fancy catering though lol
