Typical. Consent reform gets pushed aside for a language law that nobody asked for. Priorities are cooked.
mate, both can be done. They just choose not to.
So we can't get consent laws updated but we've got time to debate whether we say 'kia ora' in parliament every day? Cool cool cool.
Packed agenda my arse. Goldsmith is just kicking the can down the road as usual.
Facts. He's full of it.
Honestly disappointed but not surprised. This govt has been all over the place since day one.

Exactly. Priorities are so messed up rn.
Couldn't agree more. It's just lip service from both sides.
But but but… te reo Māori is dying! We must save it! Meanwhile sexual assault victims wait years for justice… priorities hey.
right? What a joke.
Language law is important too, don't get me wrong. But this is a piss poor excuse from Goldsmith. He's had plenty of time.
Another classic 'blame the agenda' move. Just say you don't care about consent reform bro.
Can't believe I'm defending Labour but they're right on this one. Tired of politicians gaming the system.
Imagine being a survivor reading this. 'Sorry, we're busy with words, your trauma can wait.' ffs.
Goldsmith should be ashamed. 'Packed agenda' is such a weak excuse. Do your job or step down.
