Absolutely unreal that we're still relying on petitions and not just funding this. Keytruda saved my aunt's life. Get it sorted PHARMAC! 🚀
this. my aunt would still be here if it was funded. not everyone can sell their house.
17k signatures is a joke, should be 170k. But honestly, PHARMAC's budget isn't bottomless. They gotta pick and choose. Sucks though for the people waiting.
nah, it works early. Ask any oncologist. Pharma's a business but this stuff actually delivers.
Work in oncology. Can't tell you how many families I've seen bankrupt themselves trying to fund this. Meanwhile the govt spends billions on unnecessary consultants. Shambles.
So we just give them the drug because a petition says so? Where's the evidence it works for early stage? I'm not convinced it's worth the taxpayer money.

it's proven for certain early-stage subtypes. Do some basic reading before spouting off.
trying to be pragmatic. Petitions aren't evidence. But I get the emotion behind it. Tough call.
clearly haven't seen the studies. Early-stage response rates are impressive. Stop being a tightarse with other people's health.
my mum was diagnosed last year, couldn't afford keytruda even with the loan. it's cruel that something that can save lives is locked behind a paywall.
Honest question - isn't Keytruda for late stage? Is this the right use? Or are we just throwing money at the loudest campaign?
enough, I was genuinely asking. Sounds like it's worth pushing for then.
typical - ask a question and get roasted. But seriously, if it works, fund it. Stop faffing about.
Classic NZ - a petition for everything. Meanwhile the drug company just laughs all the way to the bank. Should be funded if it works, simple as.
