i wonder if this is gonna cause more panic than the actual flu lol. cats are gonna be fine
Wait so is my cat gonna die if it eats a bird? Or is this just fear-mongering again?
bloody hell, first it was the cows, then the chickens, now my cat. When does it end?
same, sick of the panic. My cat's an outdoor cat and he's fine.
My neighbour's cat caught a pukeko the other day. Should we be worried or is that different?
As a vet, I've seen maybe 2 cases in the last month. It's not a crisis yet, but people need to be aware. Keep your cats inside if you can.

good to know it's not doom and gloom then.
ffs rnz why do you always have to scare everyone. cats been eating birds for centuries. calm down
My cat is strictly indoors anyway. She'd probably catch a cold before bird flu 😂
cats inside? Tell that to my cat at 3am trying to get out
bruh the vet above said its not even a crisis yet, and ppl already losing their minds. classic nz
I hate how they use words like 'threat' to get clicks. Just tell us the facts RNZ.
lol yeah surely they could phrase it better. but rnz gotta get the clicks
I wish they'd just say 'risk is low' instead of these scary headlines.
