ffs another story about rich winemakers selling overpriced plonk online. Meanwhile I can't afford a bag of chips at the dairy.
As someone who works in wine distribution, this is actually interesting. Online retail is killing the middleman but also opening up smaller vineyards.
true but it's good for those of us who can't get to the wineries. Bit of balance aye.
corporate shilling from NZ Herald. Always promoting the big guys.
I just buy my wine from New World when it's on special lol. Who's paying for delivery?
yeah cry me a river. Try living on minimum wage mate then talk about convenience.

Yeah nah this is just more corporate crap. My local winery does free delivery over $50 and the wine is actually good. Support local.
facts. Even the 'free shipping' promos just mean they've baked it into the price.
It's actually handy for gifts though. Sent a case to my mum in Chch for her birthday and she loved it.
Bloody hell, already got enough ads on my feed now I gotta put up with wine ads in my news too. Clickbait crap.
100% these ads are getting out of hand. Every second article is sponsored trash.
Is it me or is wine getting more expensive online? Thought it was supposed to be cheaper cutting out the stores?
you'd be surprised - there are good deals from smaller vineyards who can't get on supermarket shelves.
Interesting read tbh. I'm a wine club member and love the convenience. But yeah the markups on some sites are a joke.
