another generation screwed over by the boomers who gutted the mental health system. what a surprise 🙄
my nephew's been on antidepressants since he was 14. poor kid just needed someone to talk to, not a pill. but nah, funding's all gone to tax cuts for landlords
yeah nah doctors just hand these out like lollies now. had a mate go in for anxiety and walked out with a script in 10 minutes. no therapy, no follow up, just here ya go
who else read this while sipping their morning coffee and feeling absolutely helpless? fml
my daughter waited 11 months for CAMHS. eleven months. by the time she got seen she'd already been on antidepressants for 8 months from the GP. what a joke
my mate's kid got turned away cos 'not severe enough'. he was cutting himself. how severe do you want ffs

maybe if parents actually parented their kids instead of sticking an ipad in front of them we wouldn't be here. but nah let's blame the govt for everything
get stuffed with that attitude. some kids have actual trauma and you're blaming their parents for working two jobs to keep food on the table
lol cope harder. the system's been cooked for decades and you're blaming teenagers for existing
piggybacking off top comment - the school counsellor at my old high school was shared between 4 schools. one day a week each. absolute disaster
this. my son's therapist was a bloody intern who left after 6 months. had to start all over again
meanwhile National wants to cut health spending more. vote for change they said. haha good one
tbh I'd rather be on antidepressants than dead. saved my life. yeah the system's crap but don't shame people for getting help
facts. meds saved my cousin. but she should have had therapy too. it's both/and not either/or
