Absolutely DISGUSTING. Seven youths stealing mobile phones in broad daylight and our so-called 'justice system' will probably give them a stern talking to and a free milkshake. My granddad would have given them a clip round the ear and sent them home to their parents. No respect for anything these days.
get stuffed, they're kids not hardened criminals
yeah nah they need a good scare, not a holiday
Te Rapa Rd again? That shopping centre is a nightmare. Security guards do nothing, just stand there on their phones. Needs more police presence.
exactly! i'm terrified to go shopping now
poor kids probably just bored, not enough things for them to do in Hamilton eh

lol 'not enough things to do' yeah cos stealing is a hobby now
OMG seven of them?? That's so scary. I'm not letting my kids go to the mall alone anymore. What is this world coming to 😤
Bet they were after the new iPhone. Sick of these little gangs thinking they can just walk in and take whatever they want. Used to be a good town, Hamilton.
oh ffs another round of 'youths' - you mean children? kids stealing phones cos they're poor and the system's fucked. but nah let's just lock em up and throw away the key, that'll fix everything 🙄
bit harsh mate. system's let them down too
bullshit. i grew up poor and didn't steal. it's called parenting.
I live near Te Rapa. Saw the cops fly past. Scary stuff but glad no one got hurt. Hope those kids get some help.
Inspector Hywel Jones? Sounds like a character from a Welsh soap opera. No wonder crime's out of control when we've got coppers with names like that.
name or not, he should be out catching criminals instead of giving press conferences
