Just a heads up for anyone renting in Christchurch: if your landlord hasn't provided a healthy homes certificate by now, you can actually request one and they have to produce it within 30 days. I found this out after my flatmate and I were trying to figure out why our place was so damp. Turns out we were entitled to insulation and a heat pump! Saved us a heap on power bills last winter. Check your tenancy agreement too — mine said 'in accordance with healthy homes' but I had to push for it. Worth it though.
