What a load of bullocks. We'll get rinsed on dairy tariffs and they'll let nothing in. NZ First posturing for votes as usual.
Exactly. Winston knows his audience. He'll scream 'sellout' and his crowd will lap it up while nothing changes.
As someone in the agri sector, this deal is a nightmare. Indian tariffs on butter are 40% and we gave them everything. Winston's right to be pissed.
dairy tariffs are real but the deal opens up services and IT. it's not just about butter mate.
stuffed. They won't even reduce tariffs on wine. It's one-sided.
ffs our government can't negotiate a sandwich deal. India gets cheap lamb and we get... a pat on the head? good one 👍

Can someone explain why we're so desperate to trade with India when they won't budge on tariffs? Genuinely curious.
Winston's gonna use this as a wedge and win back his base. Meanwhile the rest of us are stuck with more expensive cheese. Great.
sure, because India is famous for buying foreign services... please. They'll just import the tech and make it locally.
Whatever the critics say, trade is trade. We need new markets. India's got 1.4 billion people, you don't just walk away from that.
RNZ News: The FTA is expected to boost NZ exports by $2 billion over a decade. Critics say the gains are overstated. Read the full analysis on our website.
lol $2 billion over a decade? That's 200 mil a year. Chump change. But hey, at least we get a nice press release.
Ah yes, another election year grandstand. Politicians don't care about farmers, they care about photo ops. Same old crap.
