Aye another pie in the sky from Fran. AI just means my boss can replace me with a chatbot. Sweet as.
mate don't be daft. automation's been happening for centuries. adapt or stay poor.
Was just reading this over my morning coffee. Seems like another way for big tech to siphon money out of NZ. We'll be left with nothing as usual.
we had a head start with tech back in the day and squandered it. history repeats.
I work in logistics and honestly AI could streamline so much. But the money needs to flow back to workers, not just shareholders.
Exactly! We need education and training, not just complaining.

yeah nah get stuffed. tell that to the workers who lose their jobs.
as a uni student this scares me honestly. we keep hearing 'learn to code' then AI does that too. what's left for us?
Fran's article is spot on. The wealth transfer has started and NZ is asleep at the wheel. Govt needs to invest in AI fast or we get left behind.
what's left if even coding becomes automated? might as well just give up now
bloody hell another 'AI will save us' column. yawn. wake me when it puts food on my table.
you must be one of those 'disruptors' who never worked a real job. same as always.
I don't get why people are so negative. We have smart people here, we can build our own AI industry. Just need some backbone.
Fran O'Sullivan again. Same old spiel. How do WE get a share? We don't. It's all going to the same few at the top.
