15 trillion and they're worried about 'pinch points'? Yeah nah, mate, that's just code for 'how do we squeeze more money out of AI before the hype dies'.
facts. but the hype is real for now, just hope it doesn't crash like crypto
Lunch break and I'm watching this. BlackRock basically owns everything already, now they want to own the AI backbone too. Cool cool cool.
lol 'cool cool cool' like this isn't a nightmare
as a student this is terrifying. like AI is gonna eat all the jobs and these guys are just figuring out how to profit from the wreckage
same tbh. feels like we're being set up for a future we didn't choose

BlackRock can get stuffed. 'Pinch points'? How about the fact that nobody asked for this level of corporate control over tech?
Work in data centres. Can confirm the AI boom is real. Power and cooling are gonna be massive bottlenecks. But yeah BlackRock sniffing around just means prices go up for everyone else.
read the article on my lunch break. pretty interesting but also scary how much power one company has over global markets
prof just made us watch this for econ class. BlackRock managing $15 trillion is insane. wonder if they actually care about the 'pinch points' or just want more control
came here to say what a load of shit but you all beat me to it. BlackRock buying up everything and calling it 'infrastructure investment'.
honest question: if AI really does create all these bottlenecks, won't that mean more jobs to fix them? Might not be all doom and gloom. Just a thought.
get real. they'll just automate those jobs too. capitalism always finds a way to cut labour.
