Ah great, another bubble for the boomers to cash out before it pops. Private credit linked to AI? What could possibly go wrong?
i swear every second article is 'should we be worried' about some new financial thing lol yeah probably but what can we do about it
All this private credit stuff just sounds like rich guys betting on AI hype. Meanwhile my grocery bill went up 20%.
Work in the industry. The leverage in some of these private credit deals is insane. But nah, no one wants to regulate cos the fees are too good.
can someone explain what private credit even is in plain english
facts. my bonus doesn't pay out if I actually flag the risky shit

read the article ffs it explains it
Banks said no, so now we have shadow banks doing the same stupid lending. This'll end well.
Private credit is basically when a company borrows from a private fund instead of a bank. Higher risk, higher return. Could be fine until everyone panic sells at once.
lol 'could be fine' yeah til it isn't. seen this movie before.
The whole system is built on sand. But hey, enjoy the AI boom while it lasts, right?
Calling it 'private credit' instead of 'unregulated loans to overleveraged startups' is peak financial marketing
true that. It's all just fancy names for the same old greed.
