An online permit system? Great, more government bureaucracy for something that should be straightforward. Feral cats are a pest, just let people get on with it.
till you try uploading a photo in the 'rugged terrain' areas with no signal lol
Sounds like a good idea in theory but knowing DOC this'll be a nightmare to actually use. Bet it crashes on launch day.
this. I live in the boonies and 4G is a myth. Paper permits worked fine.
Honestly, if it helps control the feral cat population I'm all for it. Those things are destroying our native birds. Just hope the system is simple.
city bureaucrats. They don't get that half of us don't have fibre.

ffs just give us the permits without the online garbage. Not everyone has good internet out in the regions.
cope, the internet is fine in most towns. Stop whining.
I work in pest control and this is long overdue. Paper permits were a joke. Happy to see some modernisation.
and half the time the site is down for 'maintenance' during peak hours. Joke.
typical DOC, making it harder for actual trappers while the cats keep breeding. Sort out the real issues first.
everyone lives in the city mate. Some of us actually have fibre and it's fine.
Great, more online systems that don't work properly. Remember the fishing permit site? What a shit show.
over it. It's 2026. If you can't handle an online form maybe you shouldn't be trapping.
yeah nah get stuffed, another way for the government to track what we're doing in the bush.
