Auckland's new $20m ferry had smoke rising from it and the AT response is essentially 'that's fine, it's not a fire, it's just doing what ferries do'. Meanwhile we can't get a train to run on time because of 'leaves on the track'. But yeah, sure, let's spend another billion on light rail that'll probably run on hopes and prayers.
