Right on my lunch break and I see this. Good on the courts. Kids need to be in school, simple as that. Holding hands in the dock though, bit much.
System's always broken till it hits your own backyard. Watch the 'tough on truancy' crowd go quiet when it's their kid.
Honestly, it breaks my heart. Those poor kids are falling through the cracks. But locking up parents won't fix the root causes. Something's wrong in that house.

I'm a student and I see so many kids just not coming to school. It's not always the parents' fault. Some schools are really unwelcoming. But yeah, this is a start I guess.

Re #3 - true some schools are crap but still. At 14 and 15 they're close to dropping out anyway. Parents need to step up.
