morning coffee and another story about councils dropping the ball. these poor buggers, living in a campervan for months? what a joke.
exactly, but they'll just raise rates again and do nothing.
bet the council will blame climate change instead of admitting they greenlit building on a floodplain. classic.
council's been ignoring us for years. time to vote them out.
reroofed my place after the last flood, cost a bloody fortune. insurance won't even cover half of it now. these guys are lucky to be alive honestly.
live out that way, the drainage has been shite for years. council knows, they just don't care until someone dies.

they actually have one, I'll find the link.
saw their campervan on the news, heartbreaking. someone start a givealittle or something ffs.
yeah nah, this country is cooked. houses are unaffordable, floods everywhere, and the govt's response is a shrug emoji.
get that link up, could be someone's only hope rn.
i mean, it's Little River, not exactly the first time it's flooded. maybe don't build your 'forever home' next to a river that's known to swell? just a thought.
i'm not blaming, i'm just saying... common sense. but ok, downvote me.
victim blaming much? they probably got told it was a once-in-a-century flood. now it's every other year.
knew someone would blame the victims. classic kiwi tall poppy syndrome.
lol thoughts and prayers from Wayne Brown probably.
heard the council is offering sandbags and a 'thoughts and prayers' package. get stuffed.
common sense would be the council approving proper flood defences. but nah.
