yeah nah another 'record breaking' increase. must be a slow news day.
doesn't help when every bit of land is a million dollars too
as someone in the industry, it's not just materials. council consent times are a joke, adds months of holding costs.

guess it's back to the drawing board for our renovation plans. ffs.

it's the bloody GST on everything. government gets their cut no matter what.
or just build smaller? we don't need mcmansions.
and the land tax, and the building levies, and the consent fees… endless
smaller doesn't help when labour costs are through the roof mate.
true but we can't keep building palaces and crying about costs. adapt.
