So taxpayers are supposed to fund parents to attend school plays and sports days? Get a grip.
cos kids raise themselves right?
Honestly, people need to stop pretending raising kids isn't work. It is. But this just sounds like another corporate perk for office workers. Meanwhile tradies like me can't even get sick leave without a fight.
im a student and even i can see this is just gonna help the wealthy have more time off while the rest of us struggle. typical.
Didn't say that. but there's a middle ground between 'leave for everything' and 'no leave'. This ain't it.
More entitlement culture. Parents already get leave here. This is just grabbing for more while we're drowning in debt.

facts. i'd love to see a teacher get this kind of leave. oh wait, they already do and they're still complaining.
What a load of rubbish. Businesses can't just magic up extra staff. Someone has to cover those shifts.
arent we paying for it either way? taxes already fund everything
exactly my point! we're all paying taxes – and most of us won't benefit from this 'meaningful milestone' leave.
ffs if you don't want to support parents then maybe you shouldn't have been born yourself. parents sacrificed for all of us.
yeah nah, get stuffed. I'm not paying for your brat's sports day.
lol cope. maybe if you had parents who could take time off you'd be less bitter.
ok boomer, enjoy your pension that i'll be paying for
u sound like a real parent of the year 😂
Lol at the pension argument – as if we weren't all paying taxes our whole lives.
