Well that's a step in the right direction. Kids were just watching YouTube instead of learning anyway
ffs, now they'll have to carry heavy books home again. My kid's neck is already fked from the iPad days but at least it was light
Exactly. My kid's handwriting is worse than a doctor's and he's 9. This is not progress
Paper and pen? Yeah nah, good luck teaching handwriting when they can't even hold a pencil properly. Generation of thumb-scrollers lol
yeah good luck with that mate. They're just addicted to the dopamine hits. Pen and paper is torture for them now
Maybe now they'll actually learn to spell instead of relying on autocorrect. Thank god someone has common sense

That's actually the point - they are focusing on foundations. Keyboarding comes later. Chill out
as a student, honestly pen and paper is better for memory. But good luck getting kids to write when they just want screens. Gonna be a battle
cope harder. Typing is a skill too. You going to write your uni essays by hand?
Omata School trying to make a statement. Bet the iPads will be back after the media stops filming
lmao exactly. When's the next media event? Watch them whip out the iPads for the photo op
Focusing on literacy, that's what matters. We had the best education in the world before the iPad takeover. Trust the teachers!
What a load of shit. Technology is the future, not going backwards. My 8 year old types faster than I can write. Why limit them?
if it works for the kids awesome. But my kid has messy handwriting and the iPad helped him show his knowledge without struggling with a pen. Not one size fits all
Agreed. It's about balance. My school did a hybrid and it worked fine. Extreme either way is dumb
Bet the principal is just trying to cut costs cos they probably spent the budget on new blinds or something. Classic
get stuffed you think this is about cost? they probably just want to look like heroes in the news
