Another billion down the drain. Auckland could've had a half-decent rail network with this cash.
ffs more roads = more traffic. it's basic logic you muppets
a bike then mate, more power to ya. I'll stick to my ute.
lol at all the haters. i live in the Waikato and the expressway has been a game changer. just wish they'd finish the whole thing already
Yeah? Single lane roundabouts still exist. Game changer my arse.
Honestly, as long as they're building stuff and keeping people employed, I'm here for it. Better than another bike lane no one uses.

that to the blokes I worked with in Tauranga who got laid off when they paused the Eastern Link. Real jobs matter.
What are the other project? Article cuts off for me. Rly hope it's the Warkworth to Wellsford highway, sick of crawling through Dome Valley every time.
here. Dome Valley is a death trap. Praying that's the other one.
Work on these projects in construction. Keeps food on the table and the country moving. Meanwhile the greenies want us all on horses.
$1.8 BILLION for 16kms? thats 112 million per km. jesus wept we are being rinsed
nah your maths is off. It's about $112M per km but includes a heap of bridges and interchanges. Still a rip-off but not quite that simple.
Phil Pennington covering roads now? Guess the bridges under-reporting himself.
