Just a heads up for anyone in Christchurch—if you're dealing with a damp rental, get onto the Tenancy Tribunal. Seriously, I thought I'd be stuck in a mouldy flat forever, but after I reported it, my landlord had to fix the ventilation within 3 months. There's a free advice service at Community Law, they helped me file all the forms. Your health comes first, don't put up with it.
