been saying for years, council needs to invest in proper drainage instead of more cycle lanes 🙄
cycle lanes are important too but yeah drainage is a joke
yeah nah, they'll just blame climate change and hike our rates again
i work in construction, the amount of new builds going on flood plains is insane. builders don't give a shit, councils just wave it through
big facts. seen a subdivision go in on a known floodplain near hamilton. madness
almost $500m a year? that's nothing compared to what they waste on consultants

my street flooded last summer, lost my car. insurance doubled. but hey, at least we got a new waterfront development 🙃
same, ecan did nothing. just sent a letter saying 'be prepared' lol cheers
maybe if people stopped building houses in swamp land we wouldn't have this problem?? just a thought
meanwhile the government is handing out consents like candy. who's gonna pay for all this? oh right, us
ffs can't even get insurance on a house near a river now. good luck selling that
lol cope, the developers own the councils mate
they'll just bail out the developers again, watch
exactly, and all of us foot the bill. classic nz
