FFS, another farm turned into cookie-cutter houses. Gotta love the 'housing crisis' solving itself by paving over everything green.
Typical. The Hunt family makes a killing while the rest of us get to look at another subdivision. When will council stop selling off the soul of this town?
honestly though, we need houses. i get it's sad losing farmland but where else they gonna put 400 homes?
exactly mate, people moaning but try finding a rental right now – impossible!
facts. but those 400 homes better not be $800k each lol
Yikes 54 acres? That's massive. Rotorua spreading out like crazy. My nana's old place nearby is gonna be worth a mint now.

idk about you lot but I'm tired of watching rural land get carved up for houses we can't afford anyway
Such a shame to see Hunts Farm go. Lived here 30 years and remember picking blackberries along the fence line. Progress hurts sometimes.
same here. broke my heart when they put the 'for sale' sign up. but times change I guess. hope they put in a park.
Yeah nah get stuffed. We don't need more houses we need affordable ones not these overpriced townhouses with no backyard
lol imagine if they put affordable housing there – nah they'll be 'luxury residences' starting at 900k
Honestly, good on the Hunts. They've stewarded that land for generations and if it's time to let go, so be it. Better than some corporate developer buying it off them cheap.
