Labour's 'incentives' are a joke. A solar installer says it's not enough? Surprise surprise. We need actual action, not photo ops.
Seriously, what more do they want? Tax breaks? Free panels? Feels like we're just making excuses to delay going green.
Kai here - been in the industry for years. The rebates barely cover the paperwork. They need to slash GST on solar or make it interest-free loans. This is half baked.
Right?! GST removal would actually make a difference. But nah, they'd rather look good on the news.
Typical. Politicians in Wellington don't have a clue what it's like for us small businesses. My quotes have dropped 30% since the announcement because everyone's waiting. Now they say it's not enough? Ffs.
you're not wrong. I've had three quotes and they all say the same. It's a mess.

i'd be happy if they just sorted out the feed-in tariff. paying 8c/kwh is a rip off
Honestly, anyone still relying on the grid is a mug. Get panels and a battery, go off grid. These incentives are just crumbs.
stuffed. Not everyone's got $20k for a battery. Some of us just want a fair deal.
My mate spent $15k on solar and still pays $50 a month. The system is rigged. Installer's right to call it out.
here, friend. It's basically a scam. They want us to save the planet but not if it costs them.
Exactly. The installer knows his stuff. Labour policy is just a band aid on a broken system.
