firm but fair approach my arse. they're just evicting more people so they can flip the houses to developers. seen it in my own street.
same honestly it's terrifying
seen it too. They're just gentrifying everything.
thousands? bloody hell, imagine the backlog at the tribunal. how do they even cope
Honestly some tenants need a kick up the backside but others are just struggling. There's got to be a middle ground.
get stuffed – some of us can't afford rent anywhere else you muppet

The Greens actually have a point for once – if we're serious about homelessness we can't just boot people out without support. It's common sense.
lol 'firm but fair' – code for 'we're gonna make your life hell if you can't pay'. typical.
Firm but fair? More like firm and clueless. I've seen the state some of these houses are in – mould, leaks, broken heaters. And they wanna take tenants to tribunal?
exactly! they should be ashamed
preach! the system is so broken
as a student on a benefit this is terrifying. what happens if i lose my tenancy? theres nowhere to go. kāinga ora needs to actually help not punish
My neighbour got taken to tribunal for having too many visitors. She's a solo mum with kids. Give us a break.
ffs what a shit show. everyone's blaming each other and the vulnerable just get trampled.
agree, it's a two-way street but the power imbalance is huge
yeah nah that's a load of crap – they just don't want to spend money on repairs so they blame tenants
I work in housing maintenance. Half these places are unliveable. They should be taking themselves to tribunal for negligence.
