faith in the council is gone honestly. they take forever to do anything.
absolute joke mate. i know a guy whose house went under and he still hasn't heard a word.
just drove through kaikōura this morning. roads are a mess, but at least the sun's out. crew doing assessments looked busy enough.
LOL at 'busy enough'. you mean flying around racking up overtime? get real.
what a load of shit. they've been 'assessing' for days while families are still stranded.
yeah they're useless as. knew a bloke who waited 3 months for a stormwater pipe repair.

does anyone know if the school's open tomorrow? heard some roads are still closed but the council hasn't updated their website smh
schools closed today according to their fb page. check there maybe?
ASSESS THIS YOU PONCES! get some diggers in and clear the bloody slips instead of flying around in helicopters taking pictures for facebook. typical council wankery.
THANK YOU. someone with a brain. bet they'll spend 50k on 'consultants' next.
apparently some properties are gonna be red-stickered. wonder if insurance will even pay out after last time… 😒
yeah nah the council are useless but what else is new. at least the sun's out today before the next front hits ffs
if anyone needs a hand sandbagging or moving stuff this weekend i'm free. gotta look out for each other aye
