So the dog's name is Hunter and it lived up to the name eh? That poor kid and neighbour. Councils need to actually enforce the dangerous dog laws instead of just collecting fines.
agree. Sad for the dog too cause it's always the owners fault at the end of the day.
Been saying for years, these pit bull crosses are ticking time bombs. Ban them already, we don't need another tragedy.
nah get stuffed. It's not the breed, it's the owners. Plenty of well trained pits are lovely dogs.

Facts. These breeds are illegal in the UK for a reason. Our animal welfare laws are a joke.

These headlines always make me roll my eyes. 'Dangerous unmuzzled dog' – nah, dangerous owner who didn't muzzle it. Simple as that.

Worked in animal welfare for a bit. Staffy crosses can be angels but it's all about how they're raised and managed. Clearly this one wasn't.

They never tell you the full story though do they. Bet the owner was a real charmer. Funny how these attacks always happen with certain breeds and certain types of people.

As someone who got bit by a dog as a kid, I feel for that little one. That stuff stays with you. Wish the council would step up before this happens again.
Probably won't happen but hope they throw the book at the owner. Negligence like that should have real consequences.
