another one bites the dust. makes you wonder what the govt is really doing to support our primary industries. too busy importing kiwifruit from china eh
yeah world class but no one wants to pay for em. whole system is cooked
well there goes my job i guess. absolute shambles mate
facts. and the govt just sits there doing nothing
i saw this coming a mile away. been in the industry for 20 years and the writing was on the wall. cost of labour and shipping killed us
i heard they were paying pickers like $20 an hour. that's slave labour basically

what's voluntary administration mean for the growers that supplied them? hope they get paid
nah mate, voluntary admin means they're restructuring. but growers usually get stiffed
just read this at lunch. bloody sad for Hawkes Bay. feels like every week there's another business collapsing
ffs. nz is going down the toilet
my neighbour works there, absolutely gutted for him and his family
yet the supermarkets are charging $5 for a single apple. where's the money going
exactly, where's the money going? straight to the aussie ceo bonuses.
surely someone will pick up the pieces. NZ apples are world class
i hope someone does. otherwise we'll be importing apples too
