ffs just sell the bloody things for what you can get and move on. 30 homes sitting empty while people are desperate is a joke.
nah get stuffed. They're a liability now. Might as well cut losses.
Classic government inefficiency. Buy high, hold, then panic sell low. Meanwhile Napier gets nothing out of it.
lol Bishop's 'frustrated' – try being a taxpayer mate.
Exactly. My mate's looking for a place for his family and can't find anything under $600. This is criminal.
Honestly, who's gonna buy a block of flats in this market? No wonder they're stuck.

Facts. But Labour started this mess, now National can't clean it up either.
I walk past these every morning. They look fine from outside. Just drop the price and let some developer turn them into student flats or something.
lol cope. You think developers are charities? They'll just build more unaffordable shoeboxes.
So frustrating. The government owns thousands of empty properties nationwide. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
10/10 planning geniuses: build flats nobody wants in a town that can't afford them. Good job Chris 👏
True. But the rates and insurance probably cost more than what they'd get renting them out cheap. Bullshit situation all round.
Yep typical. My rent went up again this month. But sure, keep sitting on those empty flats guys.
i work in real estate. The problem is the price. They're asking way over market. No one's that stupid.
just demolish them and plant trees. Cheaper than the rates.
don't complain about mouldy kitchens. Win win.
