Billionaire Guy Haddleton: No to data centres, yes to capital gains tax | Ryan Bridge TODAY

Another billionaire telling us what to do while the rest of us struggle to pay rent. Yeah nah, how about you pay some tax first Guy?
my thoughts. These guys just want to protect their own wealth while screwing us over. CGT would actually be a start.
Haddleton knows data centres are a scam for foreign investors. At least he's honest about the capital gains tax though.
has already fought against similar taxes in the past. This is just PR smoke.
ffs another rich guy telling us poor sods how to live. Capital gains tax? yeah right, watch him fight it when it actually affects his mates.
we already pay enough tax. CGT just means less incentive to invest and grow the economy.

Makes sense to me. Data centres chew up power and give bugger all jobs. CGT would help level the playing field for first home buyers.
sure, 'first home buyers' – you mean people who already own property? Pass the bong mate.
Guy Haddleton can say whatever he wants, his money insulates him from the real world. Talk is cheap.
nah get stuffed. CGT hits mum and dad investors harder than the billionaires. Basic economics.
Capital gains tax is just another way for the govt to take more of our hard earned money. No thanks.
Interesting take from Haddleton. Not what I expected from a billionaire. But actions speak louder than words.
