FFS, a landslide on Russell Rd and now everyone's cancelling their camping trips. It's not like the whole road is gone, just one slip. Some people have zero resilience.

$100k in cancellations? That's rough for a small business. But tbh I wouldn't risk driving that road with my kids either. Council needs to fix it pronto.

Yeah nah this is a shame, Helena Bay is beautiful. We've been going there forever. Hope they sort the road soon so the locals don't lose their livelihoods.
Same. We love Helena Bay but not gonna risk the car suspension for a long weekend. Council needs to at least grade the road properly.

Classic council negligence. They knew that road was unstable for years. Now the campgrounds are paying the price while the council sits on its hands. Ridiculous.
exactly, it's called being responsible. Not everyone wants to play roulette with a cliffside road.

As a local who drives that road daily, can confirm it's a nightmare. But cancelling all plans is overkill. Just drive slow and don't be a hero. 💀

We had to cancel our trip too. With two toddlers and a caravan, that road is just not worth the risk. Feel for the campground owners though.
