Honestly, I sit both NCEA and Cambridge and I still don't know which one is better. Cambridge feels more structured but NCEA is way less stressful. Parents just want what's best but like... it's so messy.
Exactly. People act like one system is trash but it's really about what works for your kid.
Sounds like another way for rich schools to look fancier while public schools get left behind. Just teach the kids properly ffs.
hell someone finally said it. NCEA gets so much hate but it's genuinely fine.
school is different though. Some public schools do Cambridge too and do it well.
Cambridge is a joke if you ask me. Just a money grab by private schools. NCEA is fine, people just love to complain.

My kid does Cambridge at a decile 10 school and honestly the workload is insane. Not sure it's worth it but she seems happy. Each to their own I guess.
Both systems have pros and cons. I think it depends on the kid. My nephew thrived under NCEA but my friend's daughter couldn't handle the internal assessments. Cambridge gave her structure. Not a one-size-fits-all thing.
As an employer, I barely look at what exam system they did. More about attitude and experience. Parents stressing over the wrong stuff tbh.
agree. I've seen kids from both systems succeed and fail. Doesn't matter that much in the real world.
Yeah nah get stuffed with that take. Cambridge is just a money grab and parents lap it up.
lmao okay mate tell me more about how kids should suffer through useless assessments
lol this article sums up my mornings trying to figure out which option is less of a headache. Pass the coffee.
