Another day, another socialist plot to destroy our way of life. Mark my words, this will come back to bite us. Our government better grow a spine and stand up to China.
bloody oath, mate. we can't even fix our own housing crisis, and we're worrying about what china does inside its borders.
yeah nah, this is just more media fear-mongering. China does what it wants. We can't exactly stop them, can we?
wake up and smell the milky tea. this is how empires start sliding – look at history.
Interesting how the article frames it as 'forcing' but doesn't mention that minorities already get preferential treatment in some areas. Bit of a one-sided take from Stuff again.
source? or just feels?

oh ffs, here we go again. China's internal affairs, they can do what they want. Let's focus on our own problems for a change.
I work with a few Chinese colleagues and they think this is a joke too. The government back home is just trying to keep everyone in line. Integration? More like assimilation.
Honestly, I just hope the kids over there are okay. Forced integration sounds tough no matter how you spin it.
facts. same with my mates there. they're like 'yeah it's a bit mad but what can you do.'
agreed. doesn't matter about politics, the kids are the ones who will feel this.
wonder how this will affect the trade deals with NZ. Feels like we're walking a tightrope between economics and human rights.
Typical. We sell our souls for a few dollars.
lol cope. we have bigger fish to fry than moral grandstanding.
it's 10pm on a Tuesday and I'm reading this. cheers for the depressing bedtime story, Stuff.
haha true. late night news doom scroll crew represent.
lol the comments are wild. some people need to chill. it's a news article, not a call to arms.
