ffs council can't even handle a bit of rain. 'they dropped the ball'? more like they chucked it into the sea.
bit harsh, they did send a guy with a sandbag at 10pm. but yeah, maybe have a plan that isn't 'hope it doesn't rain'?
a sandbag 😂 yeah that'll fix it. classic
my street was a lake for two days. rang the council and they said 'we'll look into it'. like yeah nah get stuffed.
I'm doing a project on local government emergency response for uni. Anyone got pics of the flooding? DM me cheers
typical. rates go up, service goes down. bet the mayor's driveway was dry though lol

yeah bro, they spent all the money on a new fountain for the gardens instead of drains. priorities right
nah the fountain is actually nice but yeah pipes are fizzing. priorities eh
bloody hell, who's running this show? the council couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery
honestly don't think they expected it to be that bad. climate change is catching up. but still, communication was shit
facts. communication was a joke. i only found out from facebook
they had a whole flood plan on page 47 of the annual report. should've read it i guess
watching from Dunedin, looks like Oamaru needs a miracle. hang in there guys
thanks mate, we'll be right. just gotta wait for the next election lol
