Of course a former judge would say that. They’re all part of the same old boys’ club. Jury’s not gonna convict their mates.
Facts. Can't be letting the cops be judge and jury.
Honestly, I trust the jury more than the cops these days. Too many bad apples in the force.
they barely understand the law. But sure, trust them over professionals.
Yeah nah the police have lost all credibility. If they can't be honest, they don't deserve to decide anything for us.
So we're just supposed to believe a judge who's probably mates with half the legal system? Righto.

Jury is the whole point of our system. Let them decide. If the cops tried to stitch someone up, let them answer for it.
Exactly. People watch too many crime shows and think they know better than actual legal principles.
But what if the jury's biased too? Not saying the cops are saints, but there's no perfect system.

detective on trial for obstructing justice. But sure, they're the experts.
you're right, there's no perfect system. But jury's closer to 'justice' than a bunch of mates covering each other.
Trust the jury? Have you seen some of the clowns that get called up? I'd rather have a panel of trained officers.
At least the jury isn't paid to protect their mates. Gotta give them a chance to do the right thing.
luck convincing me that Karen from the dairy is a better judge of character than a seasoned detective.
I just don't understand how this is even controversial. Of course the jury should decide credibility. That's basic justice.
