oh great another thing for Wellington foodies to get pretentious about. who even cares about Michelin stars when half the restaurants can't keep staff
bet it's just a PR stunt by some flash Auckland place trying to charge $50 for a plate of beans
actually this is super interesting. Michelin has been expanding globally and NZ cuisine deserves recognition. our local produce is world class
yeah nah, had 'fine dining' in Queenstown once. paid $120 for a tiny piece of fish and left hungry. give me a pub feed any day
maybe you went to the wrong place. there's legit amazing food in NZ if you know where to look
the real mystery is how any restaurant survives in this economy lol. rates, rent, wages, plus trying to please tourists

I think it's exciting! maybe some of our local chefs will finally get the recognition they deserve. go NZ!
cope harder. some of us don't want to spend rent money on a single meal
classic stuff article, get people riled up about nothing. who cares what some French guide thinks about our food
still, would be cool to see a Kiwi place on the world stage!
wtf is a Michelin star anyway? thought it was just tyres
facts, same. more to life than pretentious ratings
watch the prices skyrocket if any place actually gets a star. already can't afford to eat out smh
if a restaurant gets a star they'll just increase prices by 200% and the queue will still be out the door
probably some secret review panel eating at all the spots incognito. imagine being the waiter who accidentally spills on a Michelin inspector lol
lmao imagine being the guy reviewing a tasting menu while wearing a tyre suit
