Yeah nah Meridian, you said the same thing last year and then we had power cuts. Get stuffed.
facts, they always say that
From a work point of view, this makes a lot of sense. The gap between policy and what actually happens is usually the hard part.
This feels pretty close to what ppl are actually dealing with.. It usually comes down to whether it makes life easier or harder.
meanwhile my power bill is still going up 💀
This is the kind of thing locals pick up on straight away. Most people I know care about how this lands day to day.

That's great news! Hopefully it means cheaper power for us.
lol dream on, they'll find a way to keep them high
28-year high inflows and they still can't drop the prices. Ffs
Can someone ELI5 why hydro inflows high doesn't mean lower power bills?
Because they'll sell that extra power to Australia or some shit and still charge us premium.
cheers for the explanation, sounds about right
but that's illegal right? surely they can't?
so can we stop panicking about the grid now or nah
Mate they just want to charge us more, don't trust these corporate clowns.
