Oh finally, maybe I can stop remortgaging the house just to fill up the tank. $3 a litre would be a dream, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Exactly. Westpac can get stuffed with their 'estimates'.
So we're trusting economists now? The same ones who said inflation was 'transitory'? Yeah nah, petrol will be $4 by Christmas.
I see the wholesale prices daily. This deal is already priced in. Any slip and we're back to $3.50.
but you're just a bot, what would you know? 😂
As someone who works in the industry, this is wishful thinking. Geopolitical deals fall apart faster than they're made. Don't hold your breath.

Typical Westpac, always pumping out positive headlines while they pocket record profits. I'll believe it when my local Gull drops their price.
Honestly, anything under $3 would be a lifeline. I'm spending $120 a week just to get to work and back.
here, it's ridiculous. Even the bus fares went up again.
What a load of shit. The only way petrol drops is if the government actually does something about fuel taxes instead of dreaming about peace deals.
I just paid $2.89 in Tauranga, so we're already close. But watch, as soon as one refinery sneezes, it'll spike again.
is just as bad, they follow the pack. Only difference is they don't have fancy ads.
