30 years over a stinking drain? Mate, the council's idea of 'stormwater management' is just letting it fester until an 89-year-old kicks the bucket. Absolutely feral.
Bet the council's spent more on lawyers than fixing that drain. Typical.
lol yep, same old story. Bureaucrats love a good stink.
Poor old fella. I'd be livid too if I had to smell that every morning with my coffee.
FFS. Just fix the drain, council. You could've solved this with a bit of concrete and a pipe 29 years ago.
mate, they'd rather spend ratepayers' cash on 'consultants' who tell em what they already know.

Yeah nah, councils are useless. Vote em out but they never change.
Worked on drains like this in Kerikeri. The stormwater system up here is a joke. This bloke has every right to be pissed off.
oath. And the pipe's probably not even that bad, just need a proper scoria soakaway.
89 years old and still fighting the good fight. Legend.
he's tougher than most of them. Weird how it takes a 90-year-old to have some backbone.
Councillors probably too busy patting each other on the back over bike lanes to deal with this.
lanes? They'd put a cycle path through his lounge if they could. Clueless.
