Great, just as I'm settling in to study for exams. Fingers crossed it doesn't interrupt my focus too much.
Better safe than sorry. I'll make sure my phone is on. Don't want to miss an actual emergency.
here. We had a real one last year and it was a lifesaver.
lol imagine if they accidentally send it to everyone's hidden phone. That'd be awkward.
I reckon it's good practice. Just hope it doesn't scare the kids too much. Might warn the neighbours.
why do we even need this? just another way for the govt to track us. Turn your phones off people.
it's not that bad. Better than not being warned at all.
It's about public safety, mate. Not everything's a conspiracy.
Police saying to turn off second phones is overkill. It's just a test, not a raid.
I'll be having dinner then, but it's fine. Just a quick beep and it's over.
it's just a test. Calm down.
Hope everyone stays calm! It's important these systems work when we need them.
ok boomer. I'm still turning mine off.
Probably gonna be a lot of complaints on the local FB page tonight. Some people love to whinge.
Does anyone know if it works on airplane mode? Might test it out.
it uses mobile networks so needs a signal.
