Totally support the need for upgrades but overnight for a month? That's rough on residents 😞
Just what we need, more noise when we're trying to sleep. Can't they do this during the day?
Exactly. But a month of this is too much.
Unfortunately day works on a main road would cause even more disruption. It's a no-win situation really.
win but they could at least communicate better.
I live nearby and the noise is unbearable. Could they at least give us some compensation for lost sleep?
Honestly, I'd rather they fix the pipes than have another burst like last year. That flooded my garage.
here, better than a burst pipe.
They should use quieter equipment or something. It's not like this isn't a known issue.
I'm on Holloway Rd. It's been hell. But what choice do we have? The pipes are ancient.
don't care about residents, just the cheapest option.
Maybe they could do it in two shifts? Like 10pm-2am then a gap? Just thinking aloud.
I hear you. Night shifts here too, impossible to sleep.
FFS another infrastructure fail. This city is falling apart.
but they tried that once and it took twice as long.
My sleep study is ruined by this noise. Thanks Wellington Water.
Right? It's like they never learn.
